NCBI look for greater support

Calls have been made on the Government to provide greater resources to the National Council for the Blind of Ireland in next week’s budget.

The NCBI like many other charitable organisations have witnessed a huge reduction in their financial resources due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Today is World Sight Day and Kevin Kelly from the NCBI says that those visually impaired are negatively impacted by the Covid-19 restrictions and he’s called on all communities to provide any assistance they can to those visually impaired.

With Budget day fast approaching, Kevin Kelly has called on the minister for finance, Paschal Donohoe to consider a number of measures for those living with sight loss
