Easkey protesters highlight their concerns prior to Council meeing



More than 20 protesters from the west Sligo village of Easkey gathered this morning outside the Knocknarea Arena of IT Sligo where the September monthly meeting of Sligo County Council is taking place.

It’s a continuation of a protest that has been going on for months now and relates to complaints about how Easkey Community Council is operating.
There are two motions on the agenda for today’s meeting about the issue, one of which calls for council funding to Easkey Community Council to be stopped.
