Storm Ellen made landfall last night bringing trees onto the road and knocking out powerlines.
ESB and local authorities are out in force this morning attempting to repair as many faults as quickly as possible.
Power is expected to return at varying times today ranging between 2pm to 5pm.
While there are over 194 thousand homes without power across the country this morning.
