A Sligo councillor says there’s an issue with the maintenance and repair of manhole covers in various estates throughout the north west.
Sinn Fein Councillor Thomas Healy says it should be a simple and routine matter to maintain manhole covers but he claims the telecommunications company Eir is failing to do this.
He says people in Woodbrook Heights in Ballisodare are waiting four months for a response from Eir.
He adds he has been speaking to other councillors around the country who told him of similar problems in their areas.
