Towns and villages throughout the region are to benefit from allocations under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme.
Among the towns in Sligo to see improvements as a result of the money are Tubbercurry, Enniscrone, Grange and Ballymote.
€25,000 has been allocated for improvements to a walkway in the village of Ballygawley.
Local Fine Gael Councillor Thomas Walsh says that with the Covid-19 restrictions, more people are now walking, running, cycling and exercising outdoors.
