Calls were made at this week’s meeting of Ballymote Tubbercurry Municipal District of Sligo County Council for a feasibility study to be carried out into the future development of Enniscrone Pier.
The calls were made by independent Councillor Joe Queenan.
Cllr Quennan also submitted a separate motion calling for permanent bouys to be put in the bay to enhance the current safety measures for water users at the popular location.
