A proposed new one way system within Donegal Town is being welcomed by a local councillor.
It’s suggested to turn Castle Street, Water Street and New Row into one way systems and creating additional on-street parking.
It’s proposed to designate Tirchonaill Street one way from the junction of New Row to the Bridge Street junction with traffic flowing towards the Diamond.
There are also plans for a mini roundabout at the New Row/Tirchonail Street/Drumrooske junction as well as new road markings, signage, drainage works, landscaping and on street lighting.
Speaking to OceanFM News, Independent Donegal Councillor, Tom Conaghan believes the works are long overdue.
