The fact that the health and safety of Gardai is being put at risk due to the lack of PPE equipment during the Covid -19 pandemic has been described ‘unacceptable’ by a Sligo Leitrim TD.
Sinn Fein TD Martin Kenny raised the matter in the Dáil yesterday with the Minister for Justice Charlie Flanagan.
The Sinn Fein spokesperson on Justice and equality says there are also issues with a backlog in the courts at present and there are also concerns with and how Covid-19 restrictions are being enforced by the Gardai.
