Dedicated Minister required for tourism

The challenges facing the tourism sector in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic will be unprecedented and as a result will demand a dedicated minister for tourism to help the industry recover from the economic effects of the Coronavirus.

That’s according to the Sligo Leitrim Fine Gael TD Frank Feihgan.  Deputy Feighan spoke on tourism in the Dáil last week where he called for the Vat to be reduced for the sector.

With Tourism providing so many jobs in the North West and benefiting hugely to the local economy, The Sligo based TD says that the sector will need a full time dedicated minister in the next government to support those that are involved in the industry.
