Calls have been made on Leitrim County Council to explore if any funding is available to deal with stress and mental health issues in the community as a result of pressure and stress that is being caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The calls were made at this week’s Leitrim Council Information meeting by Manorhamilton Municipal District Councillor Justin Warnock.
The Fianna fail Councillor says the pressure and strain that many people are under will have an adverse impact on their mental health and the only support to offer seems to be coming from voluntary groups
