Government must fund County Councils



With local authorities sustaining massive reductions in their revenue sources due to the ovid-19 pandemic, calls have been made on the government to honour weekend commitments to fund County Councils so that they can continue to provide vital services.

 

The Calls have been made by Sligo Drumcliffe Councillor Marie Casserly.

 

Cllr Casserly has made the calls after Sligo Councillors were warned of a significant drop in the Council’s finances for 2020.
