Sligo pilot plays part in Ireland-China PPE flights



A Sligo based Aer Lingus pilot has just returned from a gruelling thirty-hour round trip to Beijing in China to fly necessary medical supplies and equipment from China to Dublin.

Liam Tarpey has been a pilot for over twenty years with Aer Lingus.

The Shortage of PPE and necessary medical supplies prompted the Health Service Executive last month to request help from the national airline to fly medical equipment from China to Dublin.
