Concerns have been raised that many people are ignoring non Covid-19 related illnesses and putting themselves at risk by not attending GP’s with conditions they would have received treatment for prior to the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
It’s been widely reported that the numbers attending GP surgeries across the north west have dropped significantly since the outbreak of the pandemic.
Dromahair based GP, Dr. Gerry Ballantyne says more people will die from cancer and cardiac related conditions than Covi-19.
