Restrictions extended to May 5th, Leaving Cert postponed



The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has announced the the Covid 19 restrictions will remain in place for another three weeks – until Tuesday, May the 5th.

The Minister for Education, Joe McHugh, has confirmed that this year’s Leaving Certificate examinations are being postponed until the end of July or early August.

The Junior Cert is being cancelled. Junior cert students will, instead, sit school-based exams at the beginning of the new school year.

All schools will remain closed until further notice.
