Works are to begin today in Ballintra to improve the quality of the water supply in the area.
As part of Irish Water’s National Leakage Reduction Programme which is aiming to reduce leaks across the region by fixing or replacing water systems.
This will increase water pressure and improve the water quality for homes and businesses.
The works are due to be completed by late April with some traffic disruption expected during this time.
Speaking to OceanFM News, Independent Donegal Councillor, Tom Conaghan, says he expects the works to be completed for the summer period.
