A Sligo councillor says there are many unanswered questions and huge knock-on affects for motorists due to the problem with lifts in NCT centres that has resulted in full tests not being done.
Fine Gael Councillor Sinead Maguire is calling for the fee for NCT testing to be waived until such time as the test centres can issue certificates.
Councillor Maguire, a solicitor, says there’s a need for clarity about many issues arising from the situation.
