Storm Brendan leads to more hardship for Fishermen

Yesterday’s storm Brendan led to another a difficult day for fishermen in the north west.

It’s the latest setback to hit the industry since the start of the new year with fishermen in the region finding it difficult to access fishing waters.

John D O’Kane, the general manager of the Foyle Fisherman’s Co-Op in Co Donegal, has warned that livelihoods are at stake due to Fishermen being unable to return to fish at present due to the difficult weather conditions.
