43 waiting on Hospital beds in the North West



There are 43 people are waiting for beds in hospitals across the North West this morning.

 

There are currently 32 people waiting on beds at Sligo University Hospital.

 

22 of those patients are in the emergency Department.

 

There are currently 11 waiting on beds at Letterkenny University Hospital with 3 in the emergency Department.

 

Nationally today’s number stands at 521 according to the latest INMO trolley watch figures.

 

The worst-hit is University Hospital Limerick with 49 patients on trolleys.

 

Cork University is next with 42, followed by University Hospital Galway with 34.

 

Analysis from the INMO shows last week was the worst ever week for overcrowding, with 3,143 people without beds.
