Donegal Gardaí discovered a cannabis growhouse yesterday.
On Friday at approximately 9.45am, a search was conducted at a commercial unit in Drumrooske by the Donegal Town Drugs Unit, Ballyshannon District Drugs Unit and the Garda Regional Support unit.
Between 450 and 500 plants ready for harvesting were found with an estimated street value of over €400,000.
The search was carried out under Section 26 of the Misuse of Drugs Act, as part of an ongoing operation by Gardaí into the sale and supply of drugs in the Donegal Town area.
No arrests were made and investigations are ongoing.
