More people are turning away from plastic when it comes to Christmas trees, with sales of natural trees on the increase.
John White grows trees at Cloonacool, near Tubbercurry in South Sligo.
Mr White also points out that Christmas trees are different to trees grown in large forests where, often, little wildlife is found.
He says even birds’ nests have been found in Christmas trees.
