Sligo Councillors seek additional resources for St Cecelia’s

A group of Sligo councillors have submitted a motion to the Western Regional Health Forum calling on the Minister for Health to ensure all medical positions at St. Cecelia’s School are fully staffed.

Fianna Fail councillor, Donal Gilroy, Fine Gael’s Dara Mulvey and Independent Socialist Councillor, Declan Bree met with officials from the forum on behalf of the families and students at the school.

The group are especially calling for a full time Speech and Language Therapist as currently there is a temporary one after a month without the much needed service.

Councillor Gilroy tells OceanFM News he hopes the rights of the children and families at St. Cecelia’s are taken seriously.
