Sligo Councillor submits motion calling for solution for those using buses to avail of HSE Services

A Sligo Councillor has submitted a motion to Sligo County Council calling on the local authority to write to the Minister of Health and the Minister for Transport to change the requirements so people can avail of free travel to HSE services in the north west.

In October, families received a letter stating that the free travel pass will no longer be accepted on buses that bring people to HSE services and that all passengers must pay a daily charge of €4.

This can cost some families upwards of €80 a month.

Speaking to OceanFM News, Sinn Fein Councillor, Thomas Healy, is calling on both Departments to work together.
