Sligo under 16 boys gaelic footballers are through to another Fr Manning Cup final after a comprehensive 1-10 to 0-6 win against Offaly in Saturday’s semi-final, played at Kent Park in Ballydoogan.
The Yeats County, who won this competition in 2018, controlled the match from start to finish and led by 1-8 to 0-1 at half-time with Ciarán O’Reilly impressing at midfield for the winners.
Sligo could afford to run their bench in the second-half, and while Offaly’s scoring rate improved in the second half-hour, Sligo always looked comfortable.

The holders will now play Laois in the 2019 Fr Manning Cup final next weekend after Laois beat Limerick in Saturday’s other semi-final by 1-14 to 1-9.
