The emergency services are warning motorists this morning to be on the lookout for black ice on roads throughout the region.
Gardai in Ballyshannon have received numerous reports of black ice on the road from Donegal Town to Ballyshannon, particularly at the Coolcholly Roundabout.
Meanwhile, gardai and the fire service in Leitrim are warning of black ice in the Manorhamilton area, particularly on the road at Kilmackerill, between Glenfarne and Manorhamilton.
Motorists on all roads in the region are being urged to slow down and drive with care this morning, particularly as roads may seem to be safe but which could, in fact, be lethal.
