The Sligo Traveller Support Group is to hold a Traveller health and well-being event this week.
Traveller men aged 16 and over are invited to the Allingham Arms Hotel in Bundoran this Friday to take part in the event, which will deal with the major health and well-being issues impacting Traveller men’s lives today.
Speakers including Pa Reilly From Pavee Point and Hugh Friel from the Donegal Travellers Project will be amongst the people attending the event.
Jamie Murphy, Men’s Development Worker with the Sligo Travellers Support Group hopes the event, from 10:30am to 3pm, will open the door to members of the Traveller community who are perhaps struggling with their current well being:
