‘Strand Campus’ to be seen as the first international digital gaming hub in Ireland

The launch took place this afternoon of a newly re-branded technology park in the seaside village of Strandhill in County Sligo.

The re-branding of the park as ‘Strand Campus’ is being seen as the initial step in the development of the first international digital gaming hub in Ireland It was previously known as Sligo Enterprise and Technology Centre.

Not it’s being re-branded and promoted in a media marketing campaign as ‘Strand Campus.’

And the aim is ambitions — to make Strand Campus an international digital development hub and enhance ‘Silicon Sligo’s’ growing reputation as a destination technology cluster.

In late 2018 the Board of Strand Campus secured funding of €1.9 million through the Enterprise Ireland Regional Enterprise Development Fund.

The aim is to develop a state of the art digital gaming hub to support the growth of gaming companies and associated businesses.

The purpose-built gaming hub will break ground in early 2020, subject to planning.

Vincent Nally, chairman of Strand Campus, has been telling Ocean FM News about the ambition to have Ireland’s first international digital hub.
