Concerns have been raised once again in the Kinlough and Bundoran areas over Lennox’s Bridge which is situated between the North Leitrim and South Donegal Towns.
There have been fears for a period of time that a serious accident will take place on the dangerous stretch of road which is used by several commuters on a daily basis.
The most recent accident to occur in the area took place on Thursday last.
Justin Warnock is a Fianna Fail Councillor for the Manorhamilton Municipal District and is based in Kinlough.
He says Leitrim County Council have committed to seek funding for the project.
Cllr Warnock says it’s vital that local residents continue to highlight their safety concerns over the bridge.
