The team was Sligo Rovers – and the domestic treble of trophies was the First Division Championship, the First Division Shield and the FAI Cup.
25 years on, players and management gathered for a special reunion night in the Clayton Hotel in Sligo. They were also introduced to the Aviva Stadium crowd at half-time in Sunday’s 2019 FAI Cup final (picture above).
Members of the 94 squad shared their best memories of that historic season with Ocean FM Sport – from Francie Middletown’s bus journey to Knock for miraculous medals before the 94 cup final – to the bond that has been retained by so many of the players with Sligo Rovers FC down through the years.
