Donegal County Council to look at installing CCTV following Halloween vandalism in Donegal Town

Donegal Councty Council are to look at installing CCTV cameras at the Diamond, Donegal Town following Halloween vandalism.

A large number of potted flowers and plants were uprooted and thrown around the area.

There was also a window broken at Arrow Harps FC Community Dressing Room in Riverstown, Co. Sligo that is used by all sports teams in the village.

Independent Donegal Councillor Tom Conaghan says he hopes things like this won’t happen again but installing security measures might the only way to deter it.

Councillor Conaghan also says the man who looks after the flowers in Donegal Town all year round was disheartened to see his hard work ruined.
