Solicitors may now register as Limited Liability Partnerships



The Sligo-based Senior Vice-President of the Law Society is welcoming the announcement that from today, solicitor partnerships will be able to register as Limited Liability Partnerships.

In essence, limited liability gives similar protections to solicitors’ practices as those enjoyed by limited companies.

For almost two decades, the Law Society has been urging the government to introduce limited liability partnerships (LLPs) as an option for partnerships of solicitors in Ireland.
