The Sligo County Fire Service has the best response times in the country.
According to the National Oversight and Audit Commission for 2018, Sligo fire fighters took just 3 mins and 42 secs to mobilise a brigade for a fire-related emergencies.
For non-fire related emergencies, Sligo came in second best in Ireland with a time of 3.39, with the quickest being Louth at 2mins and 24 seconds.
