Donegal TD describes tech giants treatment of outsourced workers as ‘appalling’

A Donegal TD has described the way in which tech giants such as Facebook pay their outsourced workers as ‘appalling.’

Independent Deputy Thomas Pringle says that in Ireland, content moderators earn between €25,000 and €30,000 per year compared to an average Facebook wage of €154,000 in Dublin.

But he says that in Manila, in the Phillipines, employees earn just €2.50 a day.
