Feighan to attend British-Irish Assembly meeting in Birmingham this week

Sligo/Leitrim general election candidate Senator Frank Feighan will be among those taking part in discussions by the British-Irish Assembly in Birmingham this week at which the possibility of a breakthrough on Brexit negotiations will be top of the agenda.

Senator Feighan says ‘we’re now in a much better place than a week ago,’ although precise details of any possible agreement have not been confirmed.

He added that the DUP has been out of step with public opinion on the issue.

He says this week’s discussions at the British-Irish Assembly in Birmingham will be interesting.
