Members of the Sligo Traveller Support Group are expressing their ‘frustration’ over the failure to discuss an amended motion at yesterday’s monthly meeting of Sligo County Council.
At the last meeting, the Traveller Accommodation Plan (TAP) was deferred so the Sligo Traveller Support Group could submit a number of amendments.
However, the Traveller Support Group says the updated proposal was not submitted to councillors and the previous one, omitting the amendments, was discussed and passed.
Jamie Murphy is from the Sligo Traveller Support Group.
He says it’s disappointing.
