Geevagh to face champions St Nathys again in Sligo women’s final

The 2019 Sligo LGFA Connacht Gold senior, intermediate and junior football championship finals will take place this Saturday, August 31st, at Kilcoyne Park in Tubbercurry.

Senior champions St Nathy’s will, once again, face their old rivals Geevagh in a repeat of last year’s decider on Saturday at 4pm. Geevagh booked their place in the final by beating Nathy’s last Sunday morning in the round-robin series of the championshp by 1-14 to 1-9.  The sides must now prepare to meet each other again in the final.

Geevagh’s win last weekend also eliminated Tourlestrane from the senior championship. Last year’s intermediate champions and All-Ireland club finalists, were level on points with Geevagh before last Sunday’s final group game.

The 2019 intermediate final will be between Drumcliffe/Rosses Point and St Michaels, while Coolera/Strandhill and St Farnan’s will contest the junior decider.
