Public meeting in Cliffoney about Duff River

People in the north Sligo/North Leitrim area will have an opportunity this coming Monday to hear about what’s being planned to protect water quality in the Duff River catchment.

The priority area for action includes north of Magheramore townland — the river flows through Largydonnell before entering the lower Duff River just east of the townland of Liscally.

A public meeting about what’s planned for the river will take place in Cliffoney Hall on Monday at 7pm.

Sligo Independent Councillor Marie Casserly says it will be an opportunity for people to learn about what’s happening as well as to have their say.
