The president of IT Sligo Dr Brendan McCormack has described the launch of the institute’s new Yeats Academy of Arts, Design and Architecture as a key moment for the creative industries in the north west.
Minister of State for Higher Education Mary Mitchell O Connor officially launched the academy yesterday.
It will be a centre of excellence for the development of arts, design and architecture for the region and farther afield.
Head of the IT Sligo’s Faculty of Engineering and Design Una Parsons has been telling Ocean FM News why this is such a significant development.
