The Government have announced a new 8 million Euro apprenticeship fund.
The new funding will allow the various institutes of technology to roll out several new programmes.
Speaking earlier to Ocean FM Seamus Kilgallon an apprenticeship lecture at IT Sligo says that now is the time to invest as there is a serious shortage of skilled trades people particularly in the construction sector.
