Riverstown boxer Meghan Potter is celebrating her first national boxing title after winning the IABA 80kg junior 1 title at the national boxing arena in Dublin on Saturday night.
The 15-year-old Coola Post Primary School student is a member of the Gateway Boxing Club in Sligo which is celebrating its inaugural national champion, after just one year in existence.
In Saturday’s final, Meghan outpointed Leanne Kirwan from Wexford. Her coach and dad, Sean Potter, is also a former national champion in boxing.
