Local PNA ambulance staff protest at Leinster House

Ambulance personnel members of the Psychiatric Nurses Association from across the north west protested at Leinster House today in demand of their right to be represented by the PNA as the union of their choice.

Today’s protest was the second of it’s kind to be staged by the PNA to highlight this long running issue.

Escalating industrial action is now expected, with two 24 hour strikes scheduled to take place inside the next month.

Speaking to Ocean FM News earlier, Christina Martin, North West Secretary of the PNA outlined how today’s event was aimed at ensuring that politicians were made aware of their determination to secure the basic right to be represented by a recognised trade union.
