Local farmers attend Cork protest

Farmers from across the north west took part in a major protest in Cork earlier today outside of the city hall to raise awareness about the loss of income that beef farmers have sustained in recent months.

Today’s protest coincided with a cabinet meeting which also took place in the rebel city.

Thomas Cooney is the IFA Chairman National Environmental Committee.

With beef farmers loosing over one hundred million since September last, Mr Cooney outlined to Ocean FM that local farmers can take no more reductions in their income.
