A Midlands North West MEP is branding the government’s approach to the roll-out of rural broadband as chaotic and farcical.

The Government is looking at other options as the estimated costs have soared to as much as €3bn over 25 years.

A decision on the future of the scheme had been expected eariler this month but it has been delayed until after Easter.
