Members of the Border Communities against Brexit have expressed their disappointment over the lack of an invite to attend a recent event with the German Chancellor, Angela Markel at Farmleigh House.
The group says it would have welcomed the opportunity to have thanked the German Leader for her country’s support for the Border Region during the Brexit talks and their full support for the backstop.
Spokesperson John Sheridan says it was unfortunate the Government passed over the opportunity for the voice of everyday, ordinary working people to express their concerns on Brexit to the German Leader.
