IT Sligo tourism and event management students hold event on Monday, April 8th



Three tourism and event management students at IT Sligo are holding an event on the afternoon of Monday next, April 8th, to raise awareness of current business and tourism initiatives in the area.

The event, entitled Sligo Footsteps – A Walk in Time, will also take a glimpse into Sligo’s past and present, as well as looking to the future.

It will be sponsored by O’Hehir’s Bakery and the Student Union shop at IT Sligo,

Speakers will include Sligo Field Club President Martin Wilson, archaeologist Martin Timoney, Gail McGibbon of Sligo Business Improvement District, and Daithi Gallagher, from Sligo County Council.

Sara-Nicole McDonagh, one of the tourism and event management students, has been telling Ocean FM News about the event, which will take place from 2pm to 4pm in Room A0005 in the IT
