Sligo County Council are advising motorists that the R287 Aughamore is flooded this morning at Lough Gill and is currently closed to traffic with diversions in place.
While the main Collooney to Coolaney road, R290 is also flooded this morning with diversion in place there also.
Threre is flooding at the bridge in Collooney but road passable with care and flooding on Scotsman’s Walk north of Sligo town, signage in place
A status yellow rainfall warning remains in place for 16 counties until midday.
It affects all of Connacht as well as most of Munster and the Midlands.
Up to 35 millimetres of rain is expected to fall – leading to some spot flooding in places.
