Expansion of lairage at Cherbourg not sufficient according to Donegal TD



Expansion of lairage capacity at Cherbourg does not go far enough according to a Donegal TD.

The government has announced its to increase lairage capacity near Cherbourg Port, France to hold an additional 400 animals.

Fianna Spokesperson on Agriculture Charlie McConalogue says it is alarming the Minister for Agriculture has welcomed this increase as it is not sufficient to ensuring Irish farmers are in a position to export dairy bull calves.
