Meeting to take place with CEO of Ballisodare school trustees

A delegation from the Save St Mary’s College Working Group in Ballisodare, Co Sligo will meet with the CEO of CEIST later this month.

CEIST is the trustee body for the school along with another 106 voluntary catholic secondary schools in Ireland.

Last month parents and staff were informed by the trustees that they had made a decision to close the school when the current Junior Cycle pupils had completed their State Leaving Certificate.

Dr Marie Griffin will now meet with a delegation from the campaign group on the week of March 18th along with Fine Gael Local Election candidate Thomas Walsh who organised the meeting.
