Sheep farmers in the counties of Sligo, Donegal and Leitrim can look forward to increased prices for lambs this spring.
Strong lamb prices at present are ranging from 5.50 to 5.70 per KG.
The increased in the lamb prices is down to a number of factors including the smaller kill numbers mainly concerning hogget’s.
Sean Dennehy is national IFA Sheep Chairman, he’s been outlining to Ocean FM that the increased prices will come as a timely boost for Sheep farmers across the region.
