Well known community activist Thomas Walsh will contest the Sligo-North Fine Gael selection convention.
Following close of nominations this week for the local election, Walsh has confirmed to Ocean FM news that he will throw his hat in the ring to run as a candidate.
Speaking earlier to Ocean FM Thomas Walsh explained how ensuring that his local area would have adequate representation was the reason behind his decision to contest the convention.
