A new innovative scheme which will enable taxi drives to be more aware of potential suicide situations and how best to deal with somebody that is feeling suicidal is being launched in Donegal.
The Taxi Watch Scheme will offer taxi drivers basic training and support which will enable them to be more aware and better equipped to respond appropriately should they find themselves encountering somebody that is suicidal.
O’ Shea is rural link manger in Donegal she says the unfortunately taxi drivers do find themselves having to deal with very serious situations.
